  1. I’m so looking forward to Book It! Words for the Soul and our first interview with the amazing Mitch Ditkoff. He has a song in his heart, a brightness in his head and words from his heart to share with us as we traverse this thing we call life. I encourage everyone to read his book, “Awake at the Wheel” so that you can have a feel for where he is coming from and what he is about before our dialogue. This book is wonderfully different from the way Mitch acknowledges people in the beginning to the offbeat footnotes throughout the book. One “business” book that captured my attention and inspired me to create!

Many thanks to producer Katherine Gotshall English for her inspiration, love, and ability to surface the wisdom within others.

Coaching Commons is a long overdue breath of fresh air for our coaching community!

  2. Sounds great! It’s on my calendar, but I couldn’t find the place to sign up. Can you direct me? Thanks.

  3. Stay tuned! Registration for our new TCC Virtual Dialogues will be posted on Tuesday. Our Tech Superhero is on holiday for a few days.

  4. Hey Everyone! I’m really looking forward to talking with you on May 22nd. If you’re interested in exploring ways of helping the people you coach “get out of the cave,” challenge the status quo, go beyond their limiting assumptions, and develop the courage to be more creative, my presentation is for you. Most of my clients are big organizations, but big organizations are made of people — many of whom struggle to express their creative mojo. On some level, I am coaching/coaxing people all the time to go beyond excuses (i.e what’s wrong with the “organization”) and really own their power to create. It’s been a fascinating ride these past 22 years. On May 1, my book (Awake at the Wheel) was published. It’s a kind of heroe’s journey, featuring a mythical caveman who had the idea for the wheel long before their were roads, the concept of “round,” or even an idea of what an “idea” was. In other words, he was ahead of his time and had to deal with his fellow Neanderthals resistance to the new and the different. Sound famiiar? All of us still struggle with the same phenomenon whenever we have an idea that others aren’t quite ready for. Anyway, my talk on May 22 will get at some of this stuff and, hopefully, shed a little more light on what you, as a coach, can do to bring out the best of your coachees’ innate impulse to create/manifest. I’ll also talk about FREE THE GENIE, a deck of cards I’ve created for coaches, managers, aspiring innovators, and anyone wanting to close the gap between thought and action.

    All the Best!

  5. Hey Mitch and everyone, Lynn here

So glad to read your post! I’m astounded at how in sync you and your book are with The Coaching Commons. I especially loved what you said about your “coaching/coaxing people all the time to go beyond excuses”!! YES!! So that people can step into their power and let their creativity flow. So many things can be created when we get out of our own way.

Looking forward to having your light set a blaze of lights for everyone listening to the show.

  6. I took what I thought would be a quick look at Mitch’s website and got lost in a visit with a new friend. Mitch speaks to what we seem to know innately, but don’t always consciously consider (our inner Neanderthal?) Truly looking forward to hearing Thursday’s dialogue between Lynn and Mitch (if the two of them can stop laughing.) If something comes up at work, I just have to say “They said NO EXCUSES!”
