*Virtual Dialog for May* Burning Up the House!
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Noon – 1:00 pm EDT
Call Topic: Burning Up the House!
About the Call: Have you noticed something in the wind? Is it the smoke from the first sparks of Change? Many of us sense that an inflection point is now available for the world, a change in how we humans relate to each other, to the planet, and to the universe in general.
How will Coaching have to evolve to support the new ways of being that are evolving? Is certification still relevant? Is it still true that the client has all the answers? Is the title “Coach” still relevant? Do we need a new model of the Coaching relationship? What is the role of the coach in promoting Social Responsibility? Is Coaching itself still relevant?
All these questions are smoke from a distant fire. It may be years before these questions need to be answered, or they may need to be answered tomorrow … or today. One can never tell how quickly a fire will spread. One thing is for sure: When the sparks have been ignited the only choices are either finding the courage to become a novice again, or being left behind.
Come join the conversation! We warn you that this discussion will not be for the squeamish. If you have a passion for Coaching, and the willingness to question everything we think we know about it, then this conversation is for you. Join us as we use the sparks of change to light a tekein fire with which to shape the future.
About the Host: Lable Braun currently pretends to be the Director of Organizational Development for Dialogic. In the past he has also pretended to be a business executive supporting large consulting services organizations. In the more distant past, he has pretended to be a certified Project Management Professional.
Lable is a story-teller, philosophical-mystic, and tarot-reader with a strong pragmatic streak that he has been unsuccessfully trying to deal with for five-and-a-half decades. He just cannot seem to rid himself of the delusion that the Universe ought to make sense. Lable studied Psychology and Classical Literature at Brooklyn College and has prized his front-row seat to the Human Comedy ever since.
